Loving Yourself With PCOS

Seeing the transformation my wife went through and watching her regain her life moved me in a big way. After that, doing anything else felt too small.

I tried to return to work as normal. I trained athletes, but it felt empty. I worked in a gym, but that wasn’t the right fit, either. I started coaching people online through weight loss challenges, and it felt good…but something was missing.

I thought about when I’d felt the biggest success, the one with my wife. Finally, I realized that was my calling.

Almost immediately, I realized what a big need I was fulfilling. Women started coming to me, desperate for help. Some of them had been battling weight issues due to PCOS since they were teenagers.

They’d tried everything they could to lose weight. They’d eaten right, they’d gone on diet after diet, they’d exercised furiously. But the weight would not come off.

Some of them had gone to other PCOS weight loss coaches, only to be told to go gluten free or dairy free—popular diets that have never been linked to helping women with PCOS lose weight.

These women had literally tried everything. They weren’t lazy. They hadn’t cut corners. They’d done everything right.

But still, they never saw any results.

They were living with years of self-doubt, hating their own bodies. I knew exactly what was going to happen when these women lost weight.

They’d start out looking in the mirror, hating the way they looked, and hating themselves.

Then they’d start to get results. They’d look in the mirror and start to see changes, but still not really like what they’d see.

Finally, they’d get the results they wanted. They’d look in the mirror and like what they saw. But they still wouldn’t like themselves. Over time, that self-hatred sticks with you. It makes everything twice as hard. It also makes it impossible to love yourself.

I knew that my program had to be different.

It had to be targeted specifically at the real cause of PCOS.

So I made a program that is set up to help women with PCOS burn fat in a way that the major weight loss programs never will, one that’s actually designed for PCOS.

It’s based on a commitment to learn the latest research, so I am always bringing the best to the table for my clients and never relying on outdated science or fad diets.

It had to be realistic.

It’s not about never eating the “bad foods.” It’s about learning how to eat.

I’d rather teach someone how to eat ice cream instead of telling them that they just have to avoid it.

I’d rather teach someone how to eat chocolate instead of saying they can never have it again.

I’d rather teach someone how to eat carbs the right way instead of telling them that carbs are the devil.

But most importantly, it had to be focused on making women feel good about themselves.

It had to be a system set up to change mindset and open the doors to transformation, focusing on shifting the focus from deprivation and restriction to self-care and self-love.

Instead of treating working out like a punishment for not looking the way you want, I treat it as challenging your body so you can be a healthier version of yourself.

Instead of viewing eating healthy as restricting yourself, I treat it as nourishing your body by giving it the good things first.

When those three pieces came together, I was able to bring women the results that they had been searching for, some of them for decades.
